A normally calm evening turned into chaos after a major hospital was suddenly placed on full lockdown following reports of an active shooter somewhere inside the facility. Within minutes, alarms sounded, hallways were sealed, and staff rushed patients into secure rooms while police swarmed the building.

According to early witness accounts, the first sign of danger came when several patients reported hearing what sounded like shouting and a possible gunshot echoing from one of the upper floors. Nurses immediately activated emergency protocols, locking doors and moving everyone away from windows and open corridors.

Parents in the pediatric wing sheltered with their children under beds. Doctors barricaded supply rooms. Even the ER — usually the busiest part of the hospital — fell silent as staff hid behind counters, lights dimmed.

Police officers arrived in full tactical gear, moving floor by floor, room by room, searching for the source of the report. Outside, ambulances were redirected and families were pushed back as the area transformed into an active emergency zone.

One staff member said,

Police say the investigation is ongoing, and additional patrols will remain on-site throughout the night.
